Just wanted to let Mat, or whoever reads these emails for him, know that the race at RIR this weekend (June 30) was my first race and I had a great time. I was able to go in the pits and while I was walking around, the #17 car was getting pushed to the track and I wanted a picture with it in the background. Mat stopped the man pushing it to pose for a picture. Doesn't sound like much, but there were a lot of people there who didn't make any effort to get involved with the fans, and he did, even while preparing to race! I was so excited and really appreciated it. Congrats to Mat on a great run... he, and racing in general, have a new fan!
